WHO WE ARE

Shebadan Samaj Kalyan Sangstha (SSKS) is a Non-government, Non-political, Non-religious, Non-profitable multidimensional development service oriented voluntary organization. It is working in southwest of Bangladesh since January 01, 1998 for poverty alleviation and sustainable socio-economic development for the poor and ultra poor inhabitants of Jessore district. The said areas were the most poverty-stricken & disasters prone as these areas are adjacent Bay of Bengal.

Welcome to SSKS website! The long journey of SSKS began with its commitment to overall socio-economic development of the area. Through thick and thin the organization has evolved into a strong unit that is committed to bring positive changes in the lives and livelihood of millions of people who are living below poverty line. It has been a privilege to be a part of a team that is fully focused on to respond to any human crisis. Thanks Almighty for His blessings throughout this incredible journey.

WHAT WE DO

SSKS is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working in multi sectors such as disaster response, primary and secondary health care, formal & non-formal education, technical and vocational education, micro enterprise development, women empowerment & gender equality, water & sanitation, child care homes & orphanages, child labor & trafficking, HIV/AIDs etc. The overall purpose of the organization is to lift the marginalized population out of the cycle of poverty and envisions a society free from discrimination and injustice where men and women equally contribute to the overall development process.
